I have always loved the idea of serving fun and festive food on Halloween before the kids go trick or treating. But every year, I settle for ordering a quick pizza because we are rushing to get costumes on and kids out of the door as soon as the sun goes down.
This year, my kids helped put together a Fall Bucket List. One of the activities on our list was to have a Hocus Pocus movie night. My daughter has been asking about it all month! Because I can never do anything half-assed, I put together a great spread of festive, Halloween themed food.
To no surprise, our Hocus Pocus movie night was a big hit! My kids were still talking about how awesome the food was the next morning. I loved making a lasting impression with my kids and not having to put too much effort into food prep beforehand.
So, if you’re looking for inspiration on what spooky snacks to make for Halloween, here is a quick list of some of our favorites that are easy and sure to please even the pickiest eaters.

It’s the Most Frightful Time of the Year
I might catch a little backlash for saying this, but as an adult, Halloween is my least favorite holiday. I never got into scary movies, zombie crawls, or Halloween parties. But I love finding new ways to make memories with my kids.
Whether you stay in, or go out, I hope you have a Happy Halloween!
Bonus: If your kids are brave enough, serve them a spooky version of a shirley temple drink with grenadine in an oral syringe. They can squirt the “blood” into their own cup.
